Student Council

The NJC Student Council embodies our College's mission to nurture "Scholars and Leaders who Serve with Honour." Here, leadership is not just about holding a position- it is also about developing the character and competencies to make a meaningful difference in our community. Every student has the potential to be a leader, and our Council provides the platform for them to discover, explore, and realise that potential. 

Our SERVE framework ensures that every initiative has purpose and impact. We will Strengthen bonds within our diverse College community, Engage meaningfully with stakeholders through active collaboration, Rise as a responsible servant leader who puts others first, Value-add to the NJC experience through thoughtful programmes, and Empower our students to discover their own leadership potential. This is not about organising events for the sake of it, but about creating lasting positive change that makes NJC a place where every student can thrive. 

What sets our Council apart is our commitment to develop the whole person. Through regular mentoring and reflection practices, students will not only grow as leaders, but also as individuals with resilience, integrity, and a genuine heart for service. Councillors will collaborate with teachers, fellow students, and external partners, learning to bridge differences and build inclusive communities. These experiences will shape them into the kind of leaders our society needs- ones who can navigate complexity with wisdom, lead with both strength and compassion, and create positive change wherever they go. 

In NJC Student Council, students will find their voice, develop their strengths, and learn that the greatest leaders are those who serve others with honour.
