(4) Offensive skills such as ball handling, shooting, layup
(5) Defensive skills such as man to man defense and zone defense
(6) Experiences at competitive games would be an advantage
(7) Stamina for guards would be an advantage
(8) Size and height for centers and small forwards would be an advantage

· Track & Field and Cross Country operate as one CCA. Applicants to Cross-Country are expected to commit to Track & Field, and vice versa

5. Shooting

(1) Consistency of shots
(2) NAPFA Silver Award or above preferred

6. Softball

(1) Have attributes and fitness levels that are required for the sport
(2) Have technical skills that are required for the sport
(3) Have tactical understanding of softball and game sense
(4) Have good character and attitude
(5) Interest in leading and guiding peers who are new to the sport, and in building positive team culture.

4-year commitment to CCA and high commitments to softball competitions and events

7. Squash

(1) Ball sense
(2) Hand-eye coordination
(3) Court movement
(4) Good stamina
(5) Experience in racket sports is an advantage

10. Art Elective Programme
(AEP)

(1)   Talent – applicant has unique and interesting ideas and messages about what/how to make art.
(2)   Passion – applicant frequently takes the initiative to seek out art and new ways of making art.
(3)    Fortitude – applicant is excited by artistic challenges and committed to overcome them in order to create great/exciting artworks. He/she looks forward to AEP lessons and is committed to the 4 years at Junior High.

Shortlisting is through evaluation of potential for exploiting educational, growth and contribution opportunities available within NJC, NJC AEP and beyond.

Join the Art Elective Programme (AEP), taking Art as an academic subject for 4 years in Junior High.
Suitability to continue participation in the AEP and taking Art in the A-Level examinations as an H2 subject will be assessed at the end of 4 years by subject tutors.
